The Brave and the Kind: A film by John W. Yost

Progress

Progress…in this film and the world. Take a look around, things are changing. The Brave and the Kind is also gaining headway. The new teaser trailer is up everywhere AND, Jason came up to Troy to help me put the finishing touches on the picture cut. Now it’s up to Sean to smooth out the image, and hopefully a sound sweetening. It won’t be long before it’s on DVD, out to festivals, and hopefully a small theater run…here’s to hoping.

I heard the other day that the death of the blog is on the horizon. I say…sounds good to me…let’s find a better way to communicate on the internet. (I do understand the irony…mentioning this on a blog…but let’s face it…it’s a pretty one sided form of internet communication.)

Cheers
John

Speaking of using the internet to communicate, I sent you an email a while back… maybe you don’t check your EGTTR account anymore, but theres definitely one there.

Would love to actually communicate with you.

So good to hear about the progress and what is happening, sounds good. I kind of liked bloging because everyone could have their turn at expressing their oppinion on a subject and could take time to really think about what they thought or wanted to say. What do you think will be better to take it’s place?! I do not mind change as it does add new learning and demensions in life but I also wish we could recognize when something is working exactly the way it should for the very best result of what is trying to be done and then leave that alone. I think sometimes though people don’t know what is best till they make the change. We learn as we live life!! We just need to stay honest!

I’m excited for what must be an exciting time in the genesis of this project. Any thoughts you could share on the process of getting a film into theaters would be fascinating for me, if you’ve got some non-proprietary thoughts on it. I agree with Noreen in that I think blogs have their place. There are so many people who have interesting thoughts and it seems like a useful medium to keep up with those ideas. The RSS features makes it easy to sift through the chaff for that little nugget of gold too! We can’t just rely on Twitter can we?
